This publication brings together images by photographers shortlisted for the eight cycles of the award to date and presents previously unseen, highly personal images by over 40 celebrated Prix Pictet photographers created in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. As the world wrestles with the coronavirus crisis, an existential threat that is unparalleled in modern times, the Prix Pictet turns to photographers across the globe who since 2008 have been shortlisted for the award, to create a unique and compelling set of responses to the particular challenges posed by the crisis.
